Sonam Kapoor’s opulent white ensemble has a personal detail you may have missed!

We have a confession to make – although we’re thorough followers of fashion, we’re having trouble keeping up with Sonam Kapoor’s statement-worthy looks. Just when we’re done reeling over her previous looks, the actress shows up in yet another look – just as sartorially forward as the previous one, if not more.

For the event last night, the actress chose her go-to designer for red carpet events – our very own Anamika Khanna. The actress chose an ivory saree from the designer and a matching long coat. The breezy chiffon saree had intricate floral and dot embroidery. The jacket’s large lapel added structure and dimension to the otherwise feminine ensemble.



However, it was the jewellery that added a personal touch to the ensemble. The actress chose her mother’s eponymous label for that dash of avant-garde! (The actress’s mother is a well known costume designer. With her sister working as a successful fashion stylist, it’s safe to say fashion runs in their genes!)



The actress chose an opulent mang-tikka that featured intricate kundan work and pearls.Her kundan and pearl jhumkas were also long and intricate, almost elongated the mang-tikka giving the entire look a regal, almost divine appeal. That must have fitted well for the event as the actress amongst a prestigious jury for a fashion even in Doha.

The entire look is so beautiful and well-co-ordinated that we’re in absolute awe! It’s going to be long while till we’re able to completely absorb it.

While this entire look will remain one of our favourites, we love that the actress chose to wear her mother’s jewels and her favourite designer’s ensemble. Fans, forever!
