Inspired by the idea of a Mughal summer, Tarun Tahiliani's Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017 collection was aptly titled as 'Chashme Shahi'. The master couturier Tarun Tahiliani, who is known for his exquisite wedding collection, gave a modern spin to the timeless silhouette.

The rose motif was the common thread in the elegant collection that boasted of jaali work and painted graphics. The collection was done in rich hues of kora white, ivory, beige and cream, which eventually transitioned to greys, jade, black and hand-painted graphics. The designer's signature drapes and embellishments were clearly visible in the rich kalidar lehengas, light resort saris, angarakhas and sari-gowns.

Combining the old world charm with millennial sensibilities, Tarun's collection showcased a sophisticated restraint coupled with the nostalgia of the bygone era. Walking the ramp for Tarun was the international model, Padma Lakshmi, who showcased two different outfits from Tarun's exquisite collection.
