The Yves Saint Laurent museum finally opens in Paris!

It’s trendy, fashionable and everything glam! We’re talking about the newly opened Yves Saint Laurent museum in Paris! The news comes as a major thrill for all us fashion enthusiasts and we can’t keep calm. Today an haute couture label, the brand has come a long way since its inception and the museum documents it all.

The launch has taken place almost three weeks after the death of co-founder Pierre Berge who was dedicated to finding a permanent location to document the laurels of the brand and museum makes for the perfect archive to do so. The first room in the museum focuses on the designer’s masculine-meets-feminine designs while the rest of the space features looks from the brands first two seasons ever. This, however, will keep being updated.

From intricately embroidered jackets to fringe dresses and more, the museum is adorned with the most gorgeous pieces from the collections through the years. The reception area hosts pictures of the founder himself including Andy Warhol’s pop-art portraits that were made for and dedicated to the brand.

The exhibit is now open for public viewing and a single full-priced ticket costs €10. Planning a trip to France anytime soon? Make sure to visit cause it’ll be totally worth it!
