Velvet lips: The lip trend you'll need to know about!

Thought matte, glossy and creamy were your only options in terms of lipstick textures? Trust us, they're not! A new lip trend has surfaced on Instagram and it's called 'velvet lips'! We're clearly ready to move on from neon lips and caviar lips and so velvet lips make for the perfect luxurious beauty trend to move on with. Makeup artist Jessica Ferrelli shared her velvet creations on Instagram and they were everything to love.

The beauty enthusiast has used real velvet to create this look, however, she has given us no more directions to go about the trend with. And while the look isn't a practical one for sure, the resultant look by sticking on the plush material is very retro and luxurious. Unlike many other lip art and beauty trends that surfaced in 2017, this one received much appreciation as also many comments from followers asking (as much as begging) her to reveal more ways of working the trend.
