Foods like butter, burgers, fries and bacon aren't considered healthy as they contain a lot of fat and should rather be avoided from a regular diet if you're aiming at losing weight. Although, it could be possible to include them in a diet that is rich in fat which can surprisingly shift those extra pounds and make it work for your body.

Every person would want to be able to eat whatever they desire to and still be able to see those extra kilos fade away magically, right? Well, guess what? It's not completely impossible and that's what scientist Susan Masino says.

Here's what you got to do - increase the amount of fat that you burn. If you aim at losing weight but also don't wish to give up eating fat food, you can make it work. You're allowed to eat fat but strictly avoid carbohydrates. Says Masino, "We don’t need carbohydrates to have energy. Fat provides more energy than the same amount of carbohydrates, and low-carb diets tend to improve your energy production system. Also, several organs prefer fat as a source of energy."

Atkins diet meets this criteria where the total calorie intake for this type of a diet is split up into 45% fat and 40% protein. This concept works even better than the low-fat diets. Guess who's saying goodbye to cravings!? You!

It might sound all strange, but consumption of fat is very efficient. It happens to last longer in our body which makes us feeling full for longer duration of time. This in turn kills craving for more food. Ultimately, you eat less throughout the day which helps in losing weight.

Now, it is questionable to figure if a diet rich in fat is a tap or not as we wouldn't know how healthy it actually is. Consulting a doctor on if you should consume such a diet could come in handy.

Exercising will allow you to burn fat more easily and dieting will allow you to see the results more quickly.
