If the last year has taught us anything, it's that if you have a health problem, there's going to be some kind of tea to help you get rid of it. While you may have heard of teas like chamomile tea and green tea, have you heard of rooibos tea? It happens to be a caffeine-free tea that contains powerful antioxidants which can help get rid of toxins from your body.

The rooibos tea or red bush as it is more commonly known is grown on the Western Cape Province of South Africa and works as a wonderful substitute for black tea or coffee. The leaves from the shrub are left to get oxidised which in turn gives then that red colour and hence the name red bush. While it is known for its spectacular medicinal properties, the tea is only now gaining popularity across the world.

It contains a refreshing and nutty sweet taste that will appeal to most people and it can be consumed like any other black tea or coffee, with or without milk. And what's best about it is that it does not even cause insomnia, unlike coffee. On the contrary, it may even help you fall asleep faster. Apart from containing strong anti-inflammatory and anti-viral properties it can also help alleviate aches and pains.

It is also known to promote heart health and lower blood pressure. In fact, a study conducted on overweight people found that when they drank six cups of red bush for six weeks, it led to a decrease in bad cholesterol levels in their body and increased the levels of good cholesterol. Well, now that you know this tea has so many health benefits, are you willing to give this a try? We certainly think you should. Stay tuned for more updates.
