The recent buzz is about the low-fat diet that is full of healthy food ingredients and high on nutrition. People who wish to shed some kilos in a short period of time are usually advised to eat foods that are low on calories. This is because the body burns existing calories to digest these low-cal foods which helps in the process of losing weight. This sure is a beneficial way to get rid of some weight but it also makes us question about the amount of energy that is lost in the process. And to sort that out, foods that are rich in protein helps keep up the energy levels. Since protein energizes the body, you can go through a heavy workout session and not end up feeling lethargic.

This is when we talk about a particular dish that is very weigh loss friendly that consists low-calories and is also high in proteins. We suggest you to include soya chunks in your diet to see best results. Soya chunks are made from soyabean which is a really famous vegetarian meat full of protein, fiber and amazing taste. Just 100 grams of soyabean in a serving can give you almost 70% of protein that you body needs on a daily basis. Not just that, soyabean is also infused with vitamin and minerals such as potassium, iron and calcium.

And if you don't yet know how to get yourself started with soya chunks, here's a little recipe that should help for starters:

Soya chunk salad: All you need is 1.5 cups soya chunks, a carrot, a capsicum, half cup corns, 5-6 broccoli florets, 2 lettuce leaves, a cucumber, a tomato, a couple of cups hung curd, half a cup of olives, half cup pomegranate seeds, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and pepper to taste.

Once you have all of these, you start with the prep. You can chop all the veggies and add the soya chunks and other ingredients to make a customised salad according to your taste and savour the crunchiness of stir-fried veggies along with some fresh tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and carrots. The hung curd replaces the want of mayonnaise in the salad and keeps your calories in check. Pomegranate and olives add to the sweet and tangy taste. And at the end of the salad bowl, you'll find yourself full and fit.
