Most of us think that allergies are at their peak during the summers and springs but honestly, they can strike anytime, even during the winter season. In fact, quite a lot of people have seasonal allergies which are often triggered during the winter season. And this is often due to house dust mites, animal dander and cockroach droppings. During the winter we tend to stay indoors more and this is precisely what makes your allergies more prone to getting triggered.

As we already know, everything takes ages to dry during the winter season so pretty much many parts of the house especially the bathrooms are often damp and these conditions are perfect for the growth of molds. This can lead to problems like sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, coughing and postnasal drip, itchy eyes, nose and throat. So, if you're looking for ways to get rid of indoor allergies, here are some tips.

Clean your house daily: You might think that your house is cleaner during the winter season but dust can settle all over the place if you don't clean your house every single day. And this can make your place perfect for dust mites to thrive. So, ensure that you're dusting things all over the house every day.

Let there be ventilation: We understand that opening the windows might make things a lot more chilly but it's good to let some fresh air in. It'll help get rid of dampness, odour, excess humidity and fumes that can cause allergies.

Use clean bedding: Make sure that you wash your sheets and pillow covers every week and use hot water to do so. This can help get rid of any dust mites that might be living in your bedding. You could also use certain oils like tea tree oil to help give your clothes a good antibacterial wash.

Minimise contact with pets: Make sure that you minimise contact with your pets during the winter season. Keep them out of the bedroom so that they don't transfer any sort of allergens to your bedsheets and pillows. And if you absolutely must be playing with your pets all the time, at least make sure to change your clothes and take a quick shower before going to bed.

Well, we sure hope these tips will help you. Stay tuned for more updates.
