This lokdown has got many of us exploring things in the kitchen. And while some have mastered the art of cooking, some are choosing to bake some yummies. Either ways, this lockdown is keeping people productive and their tummies happy.

This time we're going to focus a little more on the baking part. When it comes to baking, it can get easy for some and for others it is a whole lot of a task. And for the people who fall in the latter category, we've got you some baking tips to follow.

- First and foremost, have patience and don't rush baking. Patience will give you a perfectly baked item.

- When it comes to yeast, never mix yeast directly into the salt when you're making bread. The salt can kill the yeast which eventually results in your bread not rising. Instead, mix salt with the flour and then add yeast.

- You can choose to play with shapes and fillings as well as flavours. Baking is a science and so you must stick to the quantities in the recipe so that you don't go wrong.

- Have fun while baking. It will give you a lot of room for experimentation to learn and try out new things. Go wild with experiments, enjoy it and you will start feeling happiness, physically as well as mentally.

- Read the whole recipe at least a couple of times so you get a good understanding on what all you need to do. Weight off the ingredients and get all your equipment before you begin.

- Don't forget adding salt. Bread without salt is just tasteless and the crumbs won't form well too. Salt mediates the yeast and also changes the texture of bread. You can add a teaspoon of salt for each loaf of bread. Too much salt can also inhibit the yeast, so don't overdo it.
