A new study has found that eating organic food can really benefit the body. In fact, it might be so good for health, it could even cut down the risk of cancer. A study published in JAMA Internal Medicine stated that people who mostly consume organic food have a 25% lesser chance of developing cancer, specifically non-Hodgkin lymphoma and postmenopausal breast cancer. In India, this study can play a really important role since it has taken decades for the farmers to get rid of the pesticide-ridden soils.

The research team was led by a French institute that studied nearly 70,000 French adults over 4.5 years. They were monitored based on how often they ate about 16 organic foods including fruits, vegetables, meat and fish etc. It was found that those who ate more organic foods were at a lower risk of developing cancer.

Farmers and agri-scientists in India have long warned about the impact pesticide leaves on the land. And most organic farmers have also admitted that the best kind of food can only be grown through organic farming because it takes decades to rid the soil of all the pesticide residue that stays behind from irresponsible farming techniques.
