Holi might be the festival of colours but we all know that if there's one thing a festival is incomplete without, it has to be dessert! If you've got a sweet tooth much like we do, then you'll definitely appreciate these dessert recipes that you can opt for at home. They're easy to make and taste delicious.

Walnut Brownie Gujiya

Who doesn't love gujiyas? Take your classic gujiya to the next level with this recipe. For the filling, you'll need 600 gm brownie, 200 gm diced dark chocolate, 200 ml chocolate sauce and 100 gm roasted walnuts. For the dough, you'll need 300 gm refined flour, 100 gm semolina, 1/2 teaspoon green cardamom, 100 gm ghee, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 200 ml water. Mix all the filling ingredients together and set them aside. Then make the dough using the ingredients mentioned above. Put the filling in the dough and shape it appropriately. Heat some oil in a pan and then fry these dough balls and voila! Your gujiya is ready.

Makhana Kheer

For this, you'll need 125 gm lotus seed pops, 250 ml milk, 2 tablespoon ghee, 4 almonds, 50 gm sugar, 4 cashews, 1/2 pinch saffron and 1/2 teaspoon powdered green cardamom. Start by crushing all the nuts and then roasting them in ghee in a pan. Add lotus seeds to the pan and roast them too. Take another pan and pour the milk in it and start heating it on medium flame. On the other hand, take three fourth of the crushed nuts and lotus seeds and grind them up to form a powder. Once the milk starts boiling add sugar, cardamom powder, saffron and the powdered mixture to the pan. Stir well and add the rest of the nuts and lotus seeds to the mixture. Let it cook for another ten minutes and then your kheer is ready.

And there you have it. So, which one will you be making this Holi?
