Detox drinks you can sip on to cleanse your liver

Irregular eating and unhealthy eating habits can bring you to a dire need of cleansing your body in order to avoid any health issues. It is because of the increase in toxins that our body starts falling apart. And these toxins can affect our liver, whose function is to filter the blood coming from the digestive tract before it even reaches to the other parts of the body. Your overall health depends a lot on how healthy your liver is and so it becomes all the more necessary to make sure that it functions well. This is why, we got our hands on some easy detox drinks that can cleanse your liver naturally other than using supplements.

Coffee: Coffee is considered to have protective effects on the liver enzymes which helps reduce fat buildup in the liver. Coffee also increases protective antioxidants in the liver. Prefer black coffee with less or no sugar for best results.

Mint tea: You can make yourself some mint tea after dinner to soothe your body and aid digestion. A cup of warm mint tea contains essential oils which eliminates waste. Put some water and fresh mint leaves in a kettle and let it simmer for a bit. Once you start getting the aroma, you can pour yourself this amazingly magical detox drink and sip on it.

Olive oil and lemon: Two tea spoons of virgin olive oil with a little lemon juice works wonders on your liver. You can continue to have this detox drink for 10 to 15 days for a month before you go to bed and this can be repeated three times in a year for best results.

Amla: Amla juice reduces cholesterol levels as the amino acids and antioxidants in it help in the whole functioning of the body. Amla also flushes out toxins from the body. You can sprinkle a pinch of salt on amla pieces and add a tablespoon of cumin seeds and blend it all. You can drink this on alternate days for 15 days for it to start showing its result.
