With a global pandemic still raging on outside, we're all no strangers to stress. After all, it's only normal to get stressed out from having to revamp your entire lifestyle and still make things work. But while you may already be aware that stress has some ill-effect on your health, did you know it could also make things significantly worse for certain aspects of your mental and physical health? That's right, stress is something you should really be wary of. Here's all the damage it can do. Take a look.

You tend to forget things: The hippocampus is where your brain stores memories. When you feel life-threatening stress or you feel stress because you're worried for a loved one this may seriously affect your hippocampus which results in a loss of memories. It also becomes difficult to remember facts, the entirety of an event and even long gaps of time. This kind of stress can also make it difficult to remember new memories.

You might lose hair: A spike in androgen can not only cause your skin to break out it can do something much worse. It could result in hair loss and it can last for three to six months after the time you've been stressing out for. But thankfully this side-effect is only temporary and can be brought under control through the help of a balanced diet.

Could lead to acne and breakouts: Stress can also cause your skin to break out. What happens is that the level of sex hormones called androgens in your body rises up which causes acne and zits to appear on your skin. You can use a topological cream to take care of the acne. Stress can also cause severe skin rashes to your body so if that happens make sure you consult a doctor immediately.

Now, that you know what nasty things stress can do to you, we suggest you learn some coping techniques immediately and give yourself some room to breathe. Stay tuned for more updates.
