There have been a lot of studies to indicate how your existence on social media talks about who you are as a person. Well, we have come across yet another study that states that people who are lonely and single tend to use fewer colour filters on Instagram when posting pictures on the social media platform.

Findings of a research conducted as part of this study show that people who are lonely and single tend to use fewer colours while applying filters on Instagram. Meanwhile, posting colourful images was a trait observed among people who were romantically involved. This study also looked into how happy people are and how satisfied are they with their lives. Users with a positive outlook had higher colour diversity in pictures while neurotic people had less colour harmony. As you might have guessed, gender too plays a role here. Women tend to post more colourful images while men post harmonious pictures.
