Mangoes are the king of all fruits and mostly everyone's favourite too. Be it raw or ripe mango, the National Fruit of India has always managed to win hearts and how! The fruit sure does come with a lot of health benefits. But it's usually also regarded as the source of weight gain. Is it really logical though? Does eating mangoes really makes you gain weight?

Weight gain with mangoes:

Nutritionists say that mangoes are not really associated with weight gain. It doesn't have cholesterol in it and is salt free too. It is that perfect fruit for summers which nourishes your body. Although, if you overeat this fruit, it will definitely cause weight gain. Having mangoes without a limit will put on weight on you as it increases the calorie intake. But, if you eat this fruit in a particular portion, it won't ever harm you.

Since mangoes are rich in iron, copper, potassium vitamins C and A, they are really important for our health. It's actually quite a great energy food which can keep you active all day long. Consumption of mangoes can even help you with weight loss. However, you will have to check on your calorie intake for that.

Weight loss with mangoes:

Mangoes contain lots of natural sugar. You don't need to add them to your lunch routine as health wise, it won't really benefit you that way and it will only satisfy your sweet tooth as well as increase calorie content.

Mangoes are fat-free but high in sugar and calorie content. So, you need to add them in your diet plans in a moderate amount only.

You can have mango juice in breakfast or as evening snack. Mangoes are very rich in fibre and so they will benefit your snack time.

You can also eat mangoes before your workout as they give you great energy.

Do not add extra sugar or sweeteners to mango as it already is high in sugar content and excess sugar will only harm your body.
