An eggshell consists of calcium carbonate, protein, and other organic compounds which is why eggshell powder is popular as a cheap supplement that promotes bone health. Consuming only half of an eggshell can fulfill your daily requirement of calcium as an adult which is 1,000 mg per day.

Regular consumption of eggshell is known to improve bone health. It can also help people suffering from osteoporosis and that’s not it. The membrane of eggshells can also help to benefit joint health.
