Three people have been reported injured as a small fire broke out on the roof of the Trump Tower in midtown Manhattan early in the morning on Monday. Smoke was seen billowing off the top of the Manhattan skyscraper, carrying for several blocks and firefighters were called to the Fifth Ave. skyscraper at about 7:20 in the morning.

The blaze appeared to break out in the building’s heating and cooling system said the New York Fire Department and they succeeded in quickly knocking the fire down and ensuring it doesn't spread. Two civilians and one firefighter suffered non-life-threatening injuries, including one man who was taken away on a stretcher. Eric Trump, the President’s son and an executive vice president at the Trump Organization, confirmed the rooftop cooling tower ignited.

Eric Trump also took to Twitter regarding the fire. Here's what his post looked like:

While President Trump and the First Family now live in the White House, the commander-in-chief maintains a palatial apartment in the 58-story tower. The President was in Washington at the time of the fire.
