Out of a lot of health conditions people tend to have, diabetes is one of the most common disorder all around the world. It doesn't only impact the blood sugar and insulin levels of the body but also causes the onset of many other complications. It might seem a little too complicated when it comes to curing the disorder, but it's not something uncontrollable. Regular dedicated exercising, perfect diabetic diet as well as consumption of anti-diabetic foods and herbs will work just fine to control the diabetes. But a lot of you might not be aware of the kind of foods and herbs you're supposed to consume and that's exactly why we're here. Although, you should be consulting a doctor to know if a particular herb or food item suits your body or no.

Here's a list of some important anti-diabetic foods and herbs which will come handy:

- Ginger: We've all heard a lot of health benefits of ginger for common sicknesses. But a review suggests that ginger works well to manage diabetes as well. It helps in reducing blood sugar levels but also doesn't reduce blood insulin levels. Ginger can be taken in a lot of ways including tea, powdered form in food dishes or even capsules.

- Aloe Vera: This plant is very famous for its skin benefits, but it's not only limited to the skin but also helps for Type-2 diabetes. Aloe vera helps repair the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas. It can either be consumed in form of capsules or you can add the juiced pulp to a drink or a smoothie.

- Bitter Melon: This one is a medicinal fruit that is found useful in reducing blood sugar levels for diabetic patients. Bitter melon can be used in many forms including seeds, supplementary form, juice and even in a blended vegetable pulp form. It can either be eaten or taken in liquid form. But most diabetics like to take it in the form of supplements since eating or drinking them might just taste weird.

- Cinnamon: This one is very popular on the list which can be used as a substitute for sugar to add sweetness to food dishes. This is why it is quite a famous pick for people suffering from Type-2 diabetes. Cinnamon helps in improving the levels of glucose, insulin, blood pressure levels, digestion, insulin sensitivity and many more.

- Fenugreek: This one is known to help reduce the blood sugar levels as it's rich in fibres and chemicals that help in reducing the rate of digestion of carbohydrates and sugar. The intake of fenugreek should be done in the right quantities so that it helps in reducing cholesterol levels as well as helps in increasing the insulin levels. Fenugreek can be consumed in ways more than one where people prefer adding it to warm water or even in the powdered form. You must always consult a diabetes expert or doctor who can guide you well about the consumption of fenugreek.
