As much as it is important to have a good meal a while before bedtime, we can't really control hunger pangs when they hit us due to our untimely schedules of sleep. And if you must have noticed, night is the time when you end up craving for some or the other fancy or sweet food. So, the next thing you do is grab a bite from whatever you find in the fridge at that hour of the night or the least, anything you get your hands on from the kitchen. From chips to chocolates, you can really eat anything when you're hungry.

That's when you ruin it all for you. Especially if you're someone who's very conscious about your health but not when hunger strikes you. If your grandmother hand as option to suggest you, she would insist you on having a glass full of turmeric milk as it is quite healthy and also makes you sleep better. But of course, not many of us likes the thought of it and we'd rather look for another alternate to it. This is when a few other food items on the list should come handy and we're going to list it down for you.

- Bananas: We understand that you might feel a sugar-rush in the night, but eating anything that includes artificial or processed sugar is not a good option. This is when you can eat a banana or two as this fruit keeps you full and also satisfies your tastebuds.

- Pistachios: The little nuts are full of fiber, healthy fat and allows you to binge on them as much as you would want. But again, 25-30 pistachios are enough to fill your night-time hunger as that amount carries up to 100 calories.

- Cheese: One dairy product that can help you quite much in the night-time is cheese as it's super rich in protein. One slice of unprocessed cheese is perfect to fill your tummy. If you need a type, cottage cheese works the best during such times but make sure you don't cook it too spicy. You could also have some Greek yogurt as it's high in fiber and protein.

- Popcorn: One of the healthiest snack you can opt for during night-time is popcorn. It's low in salt, calories and sugar. All it contains is fiber and air. So pop on some popcorn if you may.
