many of us have acne and pimple issues which really gets irritating for us if we don't care for it. While some of us get over with an annoying pimple popping on our face within a few days, some have to get through with a lengthy skincare process in order to keep the pimple and acne issues at bay. As much as having a skincare routine is important, it is also wise to understand how your skin can react to various foods. Topical creams and serums work to fix these acne issues, but the major chunk of your skin's health depends on what and how you eat food.

Here is a list of a few food items that you must absolutely avoid if you have acne and pimple issues:

- Dairy: As kids, everyone's mom and grandmas force them to drink milk and understand how important it is to consume dairy products. But with some people, as they grow old, dairy products stop working for them and in turn starts to get problematic. Your hormones can create a chemical reaction with hormones that are already leading to acne and pimples on your body.

- Sugar and refined grains: One of the leading reasons behind acne is sugar. Researches have found out that people who have higher intake of sugar can get more prone to acne than any of the other food compared to it. The same goes for refined grains like white rice alongside cakes, pastries and breads. The number of carbohydrates that these foods have can make your acne problems worse and causes it to spread all over the face.

- Caffeine: Coffee is yet another food item that can increase insulin resistance. There is a greater chance that your blood sugar levels will remain high for long time than usual. This could be one of the reasons behind worsening the acne that you already have.
