The humble green peas are rich in fibre and antioxidants making them an ideal food to support weight loss. Although there are many reports that claim green peas peas contribute to bloating, there is no denying the fact these delicious tiny balls pack a lot of nutrition. Green peas are also an excellent source of folate, manganese, dietary fibre and protein.Here are some of their benefits


They can be used as a vegetable filler

We’ve already told you that green peas are rich in fibre. Hence they keep you feeling fuller for a longer duration of time. Additionally, you can also use them as vegetable fillers in other dishes which contain a high amount of fat to bring down the calories. So if you often feel hungry after your lunch, add greenpeas to your vegetables to stay fuller for longer.



They are low in fat and high in protein

Peas have little to no fat content. You can either consume them dry on its own as a healthy snack or add to your salad. It does not matter how you consume them since they are really rich in protein, they act as a healthy alternative to your in-between meal snacks.
