Girls can get really possessive about their makeup products and you shouldn't ever question why. when you spend a bomb amount of money on buying these products you're bound to get extra protective about them. One such makeup product that no girl can ever do without is a lipstick. The very many shades and many more brands that are available only come down to how good they all can make you look. It's a task to choose a lipstick of your choice as it is very much a product that can make or break your look. And so, after all the effort that it takes, you wouldn't want to invest in a lipstick that ultimately stains clothes or glasses. Because at some point, you might not worry about the stains but of how many times you have to keep reapplying the lipstick in order to make your lips look neat.

Regardless of the tension that it brings along with reapplication, leaving lip marks here and there can get a tad bit embarrassing and so we've got you a few tips and tricks on how to avoid the same.

- Apply powder: Powders that are translucent can work wonders for this issue. All you have to do is apply a layer of lipstick and then pat some translucent powder on your lips. You could also use some blush on your lips that matches your lip colour. This will very much avoid the lip colour to stain anything at all.

- Blot: This one is a really important step where you can just blot the extra product off of your lips and let the remaining stay on your lips for a longer period of time. Apply one layer of lip colour and blot it with a tissue paper and then apply the second layer of the colour. Once you've blotted the second layer as well, you're now ready to put anything and everything near your lips without staining any of it.

- Create a base: Now, this might take a little longer than just smearing the lipstick on your lips but once you get a hang of it, you'll just know how better it is. Apply foundation to your lips and pat some compact. Once the base is set, you can go ahead to apply the lipstick. Foundation helps in creating an even base for your lipstick and doesn't let it come off so easily.

- Lip liner: Lining your lips can be very helpful. It helps your lipstick from staining anything and lets it sit in place. Lip liners generally are dry in texture which helps in holding the lipstick together.

Put these hacks to use and you'll always be confident of wearing lipsticks.
