The lifestyle that most people opt for in today's time isn't really the healthiest. They travel in uncomfortable conditions, sit glued to their screens for almost 8-10 hours a day and don't really have much time to exercise. All of these things can take a toll on your body. More often than not, you'll realise that a certain body part of yours has started hurting and how. Because most people these days have desk jobs, they tend to end up with nasty backaches. And these are aches that need to be treated immediately or they can get prolonged. Here are some spine strengthening exercises that will come to your rescue.

Do a side stretch exercise - This one happens to be pretty basic. You've got to lie flat on the floor and ensure that your shoulders are firm. Then gently roll both of your knees to one side while keeping your torso in the same position and stretch your hands outwards. Hold this position for 5-10 seconds and then return to initial pose. Repeat on the other side.

Superman style - Yet another exercise that's super easy to do, this one can really work wonders for you. First, lie down on the floor with your face facing down and your palms and feet facing downwards. Make sure your head is straight and aligned with your spine. Take a deep breath, then breathe out and while doing so, slowly raise your arms and legs in a way that they're outstretched. Hold for about 5 seconds then lower your arms and legs while inhaling.

Take a cue from your cat - Do this one like your cat does. Get down on all fours so that your palms and knees are resting on the floor. Then while looking down at the floor, raise your abdomen so that your face is downwards while your abdomen is up (like how a cat stretches). Hold this position for about 15 seconds and then repeat.

While these exercises may help, it is also important to remember that one must always consult with a doctor if things don't get better soon. Stay tuned for more updates.
