Of course, being fit is a definite plus, however, getting fit whilst you train is an option too. Ayesha Billimoria, a seasoned runner recently told a leading women’s magazine, “(You need) discipline, dedication and hard hours of feet on the ground. But most importantly, the joy of training for it. After all, every race boils down to how much you have trained for it. Some days it will take a lot out of you. You may be very tired, lack sleep or your body just isn’t going the way you want it to go. Listen to it. Give it rest if need be.”
