We all know that eating greens is a surefire way to stay healthy. But now, there's also research to prove this fact. A recent study was done by the Erasmus University Medical Center, in the Netherlands. The results say that eating plant-based foods can lower risk of chronic disease, weight gain and death. This research was conducted on more than 6000 people over a period of 13 years and it proved that those who ate more plant protein showed a lower risk of developing coronary heart disease.

Another study conducted by the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health showed that people who ate plant-based diets rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and nuts were associated with less weight gain, while a higher intake of sweets, refined grains and fries was associated with greater weight gain. Multiple studies have also shown that plant-based foods are more important in diets than animal-based foods. So, it's time to eat those veggies. Stay tuned for more updates.
