Periods can get very painful and it can hamper your life and make a mess out of it physically as well as emotionally. Many women suffer from painful periods and find it very difficult to go through the day and carry on with the routine. Sometimes we'd give anything to stop this problem for good. And that's when period suppression comes in the picture. There are many women who wish to live a free life and to do so, they turn to menstrual suppression. It might seem like a big thing. it actually is quite easy to suppress your periods with some or the other medication. Women take oral contraceptive pills to suppress periods too. Some women even take these pills for 21 days and then stop for 7 days while others stop for 7 days and take placebo pills instead.

But, women tend to forget that periods are for their own good health as they indicate healthy reproductive system. When an contraceptive pill is consumed, they impact the hormone levels in your body quite much. They can also produce synthetic hormones in order to maintain hormonal levels. And this is why it's only and only recommended to take the pill for 21 days and then give yourself a break for your body to do it's job. Many doctors and researchers have claimed that the periods that women get while they're on oral contraceptive pills are not real and are rather synthetic and hormonally induced.

If a woman carries on to take the oral contraceptive without breaks at all in order to prevent periods, she doesn't realise that by doing this, she's only increasing the levels of synthetic hormones in her body. This can have an impact on their physical as well as mental health. These pills have the ability to impact your hormone levels to an extent that it's a leads to depression. Not just that, it can also cause blood clots in your lungs and brain which can lead to a stroke or even death. It can very much cause irregular bleeding and spotting as well. Hence, stopping your periods can be the worst medical experiment ever.
