Shaving is undoubtedly one of the easiest ways of hair removal and it's also super cost-effective. Unfortunately, it isn't all that great for your skin. You may have noticed that you end up with rashes and ingrown hair after your shaving sessions. The reason for this is that you aren't doing it properly. If you want soft and smooth skin after you've shaved then you need to follow a proper process and keep certain tips in mind. Here's what those tips are.

-Change your razor blade often. The sharper and newer your blade is the better it'll work. And the older it is, the blunter it becomes and thus it won't give you that clean and smooth shave. This also leads to ingrown hair.

-Do NOT dry shave. No matter how quickly you need to get things done, always opt for shaving cream or lotion when you're shaving your body. It helps make the process a lot smoother and will ensure you don't end up with rashes later on.

-Pick a quality razor. Splurge a little, ladies. It is your body after all. Use a good quality razor with 4-5 blades so that it can work closely on your skin and can help you avoid razor burns or ingrown hair.

-Shave in the right direction. Do not start shaving in the opposite direction of your hair growth since that really won't help give you the kind of smoothness you're looking for. And do not go over the same area twice or you will end up with razor burns.

Well, now that you know what tips you should follow, keep them in mind the next time you opt for a shaving session. Stay tuned for more updates.
