Here's how you can make a DIY deodorant at home

Sweat and perspiration and the main perpetrators of body odour. And while store-bought deodorants work just fine in combating body odours, we're all aware that they contain chemicals that could prove to be harmful to your skin in the long run. That's why it's always best to opt for natural ingredients instead. They do the trick perfectly and they work without causing side effects, So, this summer season if you're looking to keep your body odour at bay, opt for this DIY deodorant that you can make at home.

The ingredients you'll need for this deodorant are Baking soda (3 tablespoons), Cornstarch (5 tablespoons), Shea butter (4 tablespoons), Organic coconut oil (2 tablespoons), Lavender essential oil (20 drops), Frankincense essential oil (15 drops), Tea tree essential oil (15 drops) and Jasmine essential oil (15 drops).

Start by adding the baking soda and cornstarch together and keep it aside. Then melt the shea butter and coconut oil in a pan and add the baking soda and cornstarch to it. Keep stirring until they form a paste and then take them off the heat. Add the essential oils and mix well. Transfer the mixture into a glass bottle for further use and store it in your fridge. To use it, all you need to do is take a small amount of the paste and massage it onto the hot spots on your body like your underarms, the insides of your elbows, your wrists and your knee pits.
