While some people nod off as soon as they put their heads on a pillow, some seriously struggle with sleeping. Some of those people might even term sleeping as an 'art' as they find it seriously difficult to get sleep at night. If you’re used to lying in bed awake and with your brain processing a million things at one time, then we have got you some good news today.

A secret military technique that is said to help anyone fall asleep in just two minutes has recently been revealed. The trick is reportedly used by the US army to help them fall asleep when situations are not very good but they have to sleep through them anyway! The secret is detailed in the book, 'Relax and Win: Championship Performance' which although, was published in 1981 has recently gained traction as it reveals the fastest way to fall asleep.

Here are the steps mentioned in the book:

1. Relax your muscles, including those around your eyes.
2. Implement breathing techniques. Breathe out and relax your chest, all the way down to your legs.
3. Clear out your minds with the help of visualisation. Imagine you are in a calm, serene space. Another option can be repeating these words for 10 seconds: 'don't think, don't think, don't think'.

The technique is said to work for 96 per cent of people after six weeks of practice. People are at a greater risk of several diseases such as type 2 diabetes and even heart disease if they do not get good sleep at night and hence, all of you suffering from lack of sleep should try this technique out. Let us know how it works for you!
