We recently lost one of Bollywood's most revered and loved entertainers, Sridevi. The actress is said to have suffered a cardiac arrest whilst in Dubai on Saturday night. Her demise came as a surprise to everyone as she had presumably been living a healthy life and her untimely and unfortunate death has caused a lot of panic among people as to how a healthy person can suffer an arrest.

Let us inform you that even if a person does not have any history of a heart condition, he or she still could still get a cardiac arrest due to blockage in their arteries. A cardiac arrest strikes immediately without warning and it is more dangerous than a heart attack. In case of a heart attack, the person might survive however most times than not in a cardiac arrest, the person passes away in a matter of seconds.

What are the symptoms of a cardiac arrest? Sudden collapse, no pulse, lack of breathing and loss of consciousness. And if you witness these symptoms in someone, you should take immediate action. Call the ambulance as soon as possible and until it arrives the patient should be given cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This life-saving technique could save a life. You should do it with the speed of 20 compressions per minute.

We hope this read helps save a life.
