It's no secret that humour plays a big part in relationship compatibility. People are generally more comfortable around partners with whom their humour feels compatible. While it's okay to not find all the jokes your partner cracks funny, it can turn into a serious problem if you and your partner don't share the same sense of humour. Such situations can quickly become a tricky landmine of never-ending fights and can cause relationships to become wry.

Some examples could be that both partners have a different sense of humour which might make one feel offended about something. This makes it difficult to relate and bond together as both the partners have trouble understanding each other. They might feel that the other person doesn't really understand them. If your jokes end up making your partner feel humiliated, excluded, insecure, judged or patronised, you can get in some serious trouble.

Your partner might use humour to disguise criticism or pass remarks and you might jokingly pass unpleasant remarks but you could come across as mean to your partner. So, when such things happen, remember that communication is key. Talk things out with your partner and try to meet halfway. Stay tuned for more updates.
