As the terrifying coronavirus is still spreading, the hot Indian summer is troubling people and questioning whether it’s a good idea to turn on their Air Conditioners or not.Although the CDC has confirmed that COVID-19 can spread regardless of the soaring temperature, people have serious questions regarding the usage of air coolers and air conditioners during this pandemic. However, the government has issued a new guideline by the Indian Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioner Engineers for the best of the situation. Here’s the truth about the safety of the air conditioner during the pandemic.

The official guideline has mentioned that the ideal temperature for air conditioners at home can be anywhere between 24-30 degree Celsius and the humidity level can be 4-=7- percent. Such a room must be well ventilated with windows and exhaust to let the airflow.

According to the experts, it’s a good idea to use desert coolers this summer as the air filter can act as a barrier between dust particles to maintain hygiene. However, your room must have a vent to let the natural air circulate. Using electric fans and exhausts to keep cool is also another way to cope up with the scorching heat.

Although the central cooling system is not dangerous to use, it can increase the chances of developing infection due to coronavirus. Most importantly, it can act as a carrier and spread to other people in the building using the air cooling system. One must be careful!
