The quarantine period has made everyone put on a chef’s hat. With a limited operation of fast-food chains and restaurants, most of us are now resorting to cooking up a storm in our kitchen-a substitute for every food item that we miss the most. One of such food items that we miss is from the Subway-the iconic sub-sandwich joint that also offers fudgy cookies. If you’re someone who misses Subway as much as we do, here’s a good news. Subway has recently shared the recipe of its much-loved double choco-chip cookie so that you can bake at home.

According to the Tastemade UK, you’ll need:
25g salted softened butter 100g light brown sugar 75g granulated sugar 1tsp vanilla essence/extract 1 medium-sized egg 150g plain flour, sifted 40g cocoa powder, sifted ½ tsp baking soda 100g white chocolate, roughly chopped 200g milk chocolate, roughly chopped
Begin by creaming butter and sugar together. Take another bowl and add vanilla essence with egg, and add the mixture with the airy-fluffy creamed butter-sugar till well-combined. Now sift in dry ingredients ( flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda) to this mixture and fold everything together. Add chopped white and milk chocolate chunks and mix evenly with gentle folding technique. Divide the achieved cookie dough into ball sized portion and place them on to parchment lined baking tray with ample space between each dough to spread. Preheat your oven to 175 degrees and bake these cookies for 10 to 12 minutes. Let them cool down to enjoy and your Subway style double choco-chip cookies are ready!
