There are many myths around collagen that people tend to believe in due to lack of information and sometimes just loads of wrong information. We're here to bust these myths for you
Everyone knows that collagen is a protein that is found in our muscles, bones and skin as well as our blood vessels. It is an important protein as it helps in maintaining the elasticity of the skin, bones and muscles. Although, when it comes to our skin, the collagen seems to have become the most important component. There are many myths around collagen that people tend to believe in due to lack of information and sometimes just loads of wrong information. We're here to bust these myths for you.

- People usually believe that it's not possible to restore the body's collagen levels but it's not true. Our body doesn't stop producing collagen but only suffers a decrease in the amount of collagen. The production of it needs to be improved by active ingredients in your diet and food items that can increase the collagen in your body.

- It is also believed that collagen is only important for the skin and our joints but it is actually a protein that acts as a glue for our body. It holds the muscles, blood vessels and bones together. It also maintains the elasticity in our skin, bones and muscles which ensures that it all works well together.

- People tend to trust in the myth that applying collagen creams can help in increasing the elasticity of our skin but that's also not true. Collagen molecules are very large and even if a cream contains collagen, it won't penetrate deep in your skin.
