Myths about skin bleaching you should know before you opt for once

Every woman has experienced bleaching and it is one of the easiest ways of dealing with facial hair instead of shaving, epilating and plucking. Although, there are a few things that people believe in about skin bleaching which actually isn't true at all. Dermatologists always recommend to not bleach your skin as they say that the bleaching products are based on chemicals that are very harmful for the skin. It can cause allergies, rashes and skin irritation. Hence, we're here to debunk some bleach myths that people have been trusting on.

- Bleaching makes you look fairer: In fact, bleaching can only work on pigmentation, blemishes and skin tan. It can't change your skin complexion to make you look fairer. The chemical ingredients present in bleaching creams are sodium hypochlorite, sodium percarbonate, hydrogen peroxide, calcium hypochlorite,sodium, dithionate, etc. These ingredients help in lightening the facial hair and not the skin.

- Bleaching is safe: Dermatologists say otherwise as there are chemicals in the bleaching creams that can cause chemical reaction on the skin. This reaction can then lead to breakouts and even exposure to sun can damage the skin which causes irritation.

- Bleach creams are all same: All bleaching products aren't the same. The ingredients in each cream that is newly launched are graded according to skin complexion. They also contain moisturizing oils that help in healing skin irritation.

- A patch test can be avoided: You actually need to do a patch test each time you want to do bleaching. It can leave permanent white spots on your skin if you have any allergic reaction to it.
