No-nonsense beauty routine that every new mom should follow post-pregnancy

Being a mother can bring a whole of change in your life. While the tough job demands extra attention and care for the little bundle of joy, probably the most sacrificed aspect is self-care. Taking care of your skin post-pregnancy is, in fact, more important. But, that doesn’t have to take an hour in front of the mirror. New moms can simply swap a time-consuming 15 step-20 step skincare routine with a simple one to rejuvenate the skin. Follow this no-nonsense beauty routine to bring back your glow without compromising much time.

Start with a cleanser and only double cleanse if you’re wearing makeup. A gel base hydrating cleanser is ideal, depending on your skin type.Do not use facial wipes as they do more harm to your skin and environment. Micellar water is a good choice.

Apply a hydrating toner or essence to cleanse your face and open up the pores. It can help to lock in moisture which is more essential to help the skin regain its normalcy post-pregnancy.

Follow up by a moisturiser that suits your skin. Most new moms tend to experience dry skin hence going for an occlusive moisturiser can help. You can also use a serum to provide an extra dose of hydration.

Mothers with oily skin can use serums with retinol only at night as a bedtime routine to prevent premature ageing. You can also use AHA or BHA -chemical exfoliator once a week to improve skin texture and maintain an even skintone.

Make sure you’re wearing an SPF every time you’re going out under the sun.
