Post-workout hair care tips you must pay attention to!

Getting some physical exercise regularly is pretty much a necessity if you want to keep your body fit and healthy. And while working out truly can work wonders for your physical and mental health, it is also accompanied by excessive amounts of sweat which can be bad for your skin and hair if not taken care of properly. All of this sweat can get accumulated in your scalp and can lead to dandruff, fungal infections, rashes and whatnot. So, if you want to ensure that your hair stays in a pristine condition, here are some post-workout hair care tips that you absolutely must pay attention to.

-Make sure to wash your hair with warm water every alternate day. Washing it everyday can damage your hair so alternate days will work best.

-On the days that you don't wash your hair, try to compensate with some dry shampoo so that there's no sweat remaining in your hair.

-Opt for a hair freshener for your hair and that should end up working wonders for your hair too. Apart from refreshing your hair, it'll also help condition it.

-Sweaty hair can get tangled. So, make sure to invest in a proper detangler brush to help get rid of any tangles in your hair that you might end up with post a workout session.

-You could also use a hair mask or even some hair oil before you head to the gym since this can help keep the sweat out of your hair. Just wash it out with some shampoo after you're done with your workout session.

-Experts recommend using peppermint oil on your scalp since it contains antibacterial properties that can ward off infections. You can team it with a carrier ingredient like aloe vera to help moisturise your scalp as well. Apply this concoction after you're done with your workout. Leave it on for a while and then rinse it off.

-You must also remember to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Dehydration can affect your hair as well. So, make sure to drink at least 8 glasses of water every day.
