There is no formula when it comes to skincare. Every woman has different skin type and skincare varies from person to person. The texture that you have on your skin will also differ from the one that another person would have. Apart from that, season changes can also be a reason for changes in your skin due to which you might have to change the skincare products too. As the term suggests, skin fasting is the idea to actually take a break from your skincare routine so as to improve the way your skin functions. Your skin produces natural oils which can improve if you go on a skin fast every now and then. It isn't a complex process, you simply have to skip your night cream or moisturizer once in a while. You can also skip using your regular skincare products for a few days.

This way, you can benefit your skin if you aren't very particular about your skincare products. If you notice a certain product making your skin dry and dull, you can simply go on a skin fast which will bring your skin back to normal. This will also give you a better understanding of which product works for your skin and which doesn't.

You can try skin fasting if you don't have a pre-existing skin condition which otherwise requires for you to apply some medicated products. You can consult your dermatologist before you try skin fasting. You also need to keep in mind that you skin might be used to some products that serves it with important ingredients with the help of which it can stay healthy. You might leave your skin more vulnerable when you choose to go on a skin fast. Hence, you need to be very sure before you take this decision for yourself.
