We all are aware of adversities from hypertension or high blood pressure, but do you know low pressure could also be equally dangerous? Low blood pressure is basically noted from a sudden drop in blood pressure, causing light-headedness and dizziness. This is often experienced when one suddenly rises from a lying down or sitting posture. If you have been feeling something similar for a while, chances are you suffer from hypotension or low blood pressure. It is always advised to consult your doctor when you start seeing the signs often and once confirmed, take medicines. Along with that, here are some home remedies that will help you in the process. All of these quick fixes for low pressure can easily be employed at home and put an end to symptoms of erratic blood pressure.

Salt: While doctors advise diabetics to avoid sodium for blood pressure issues, it is totally opposite for hypotension. Raise the intake of sodium in your food to avoid signs of low blood pressure.

Basil(Tulsi): According to a popular belief, chewing tulsi leaves every morning can help you have high levels of potassium, magnesium, and vitamin C. All of these can regulate blood pressure. Its antioxidant properties can also lower cholesterol levels.

Raisin: Soak some raisins or Munakka overnight and boil it with milk to consume in the morning. You can also add these to your cereal bowls or any food of your choice. Raisins are known to promote blood circulation. It is also a good source of antioxidant dietary fibre and potassium. They taste so good!

Coffee: Caffeine helps significantly to boost your blood pressure. A cup of tea or coffee can get your blood circulation going for a brief time. Although its effect can last for a short time but works instantly.

Water: Dehydration is probably the commonest reason behind a sudden drop in blood pressure. Often ignored, water along with electrolytes helps to maintain the fluids in your body. So, keep sipping water every now and then. You can also drink coconut water.
