Simple exercises you can opt for at home during the lockdown

The one thing all you fitness freaks might really miss after being in lockdown is going to the gym. Your workout routine is obviously an essential part of your life and having to suddenly give it up altogether might not only take a physical toll on your body but might also cause you some mental distress. Well, worry not, just because you can't go to the gym doesn't mean you can't opt for a few exercise sessions at home. Here are some easy exercises that you can opt for. They'll help keep you in shape until you can return to your beloved gym.

Jumping Jacks: This looks really easy to do but honestly it does require quite a lot of stamina. Stand straight with your feet touched together and your palms rested on the sides of your body. Jump and raise your arms above your head while simultaneously also bringing your feet apart. Reverse the movement immediately and come back into the original position. Try to do it faster.

Plank: Get into a push-up position with your elbows at a 90-degree angle and hold this position with the help of your arms and toes. Ensure that the rest of your body is in a straight position. Hold for at least 30 seconds before taking a break. This can help engage your core and give you the abs you dream of.

Squats: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Keeping your back straight, slowly bend your knees to squat and make sure to stop when your hips are parallel to the ground. Hold this position for 30 seconds before taking a break. It'll strengthen your lower body.
