Simple tips to make your kid become more pet friendly

Being a parent is never going to be a cakewalk. But when you are a pet parent and a parent, things only become even more complicated. You would want your child and pet to not have issues with each other. And to ensure that, you will have to inculcate some thoughts in your kids' mind to get comfortable around your pet right from the time they are tiny toddlers. How do you do that?

We've got you some simple tips to help your child grow into loving your pet:

- First and foremost, introduce your kid to your pet at a very younger age. This will only give them both the time to learn each other and grow fond of each other over time.

- Introduce your child to an adult dog instead of a puppy. Puppies are young and already have a lot to learn on their own. This is why, things become easy to handle when you introduce your kid to an older dog who knows how to behave in front of a baby.

- Don't push your child too much to interact with the pet. Your kid might be wary of your pet and it's alright. Let the kid take its time to warm up to the pet.

- Make sure your pet and your child are spending some quality time together. Indulge them in some fun activities and let them take a bath or drives together.

- Keep their toys separate. Make sure your pet doesn't get access to the toys that your child plays with and vice versa.
