Sleep is an important part of our daily life which determines the body functioning. Not to mention, a good night’s sleep is also the best remedy to most of your health problems including mental health. Have you ever experienced anxiety during bedtime? No matter how hard you try but are your dreaming nightmares often? If your answer is yes, then you are most likely to be suffering from anxiety dreams. Yes, anxiety dreams exist! Worse than having a bad dream, anxiety dreams can disturb your resting hours and make add on to your mental health.

These dreams are usually associated with feeling nervous, worry, and emotionally sensitive at the same time. What makes anxiety dreams worse than nightmares is that they make you stressed even after you wake up from your sleep. It continues to hamper your day and gets carried on. In the long run, it can become a severe health problem.

Much like any other kind of dream, there can be several factors that can cause anxiety dreams, such as a strong sense of fear and stress. If you’re someone who has experienced a traumatic event or a major change in your life then you’re most likely to experience anxiety during your sleep due to the distress. Irregular sleeping patterns or insomnia can also add up to this problem. Also, people struggling with uses of drugs, alcohol, or any other kind of addiction are too vulnerable to anxiety dreams.

The best way to combat this situation is to take some time out and refresh your mind to improve the quality of sleep. Try to maintain a strict sleep routine and follow some lifestyle changes. Meditation can also benefit you. If anxiety still persists, talk to medical experts.
