Some healthy snack options for your mid-morning office cravings

Most of us travel a lot to get to work and due to the exhausting travel, the energy spent in the mornings is the highest. This is why it is always advised to have breakfast before you step out of the house so that you can have the maximum energy for a fresh start of the day. Although, not all of us find the time to catch up on breakfast and simply do the running in order to not get late to work. In such cases, mid-morning cravings are bound to happen when you are at work. What do you grab on then? If you're someone who can literally hog on anything that they see, you might just reach out for a candy or some chocolates or simply sip on coffee, which isn't the best option at such times. This is why, a little prep and packing some healthy munchies for office mid-munchies will help you to a great extent. Here's a list of things you can carry or grab your hands on when in such a situation:

- Berries and nuts: These high-calorie and low sugar nuts and berries will keep your diet safe and heart healthy. You can munch on some walnuts, cashews, almonds and pistachios that contain unsaturated heart-healthy fats with fibre and Omega-3 fatty acids. Berries like strawberries, cranberries and blueberries can also taste nice along with nuts in a bowl. You can carry a handful of these to work everyday and do away with your office hunger pangs.

- Energy Bars: High fibre, protein-rich and low calorie energy bars can be very effective for mid-morning office cravings. A snack bar that is filled with cashews, almonds, dates, honey, oats, etc. is a healthy option to choose.

- Mixed fruit salad: Make yourself a bowl of diced fruits like apples, cucumber, papaya, berries, kiwi, etc. and pack it in a tiffin to carry at work for mid-morning cravings. It's such a healthy option to opt for during mornings.

- Boiled eggs: Boil soem eggs for yourself, cut them in halves and toss them up with some salt and pepper to add some taste and munch on them while at work in the mornings.
