There’s no second thought when it comes to applying sunscreen religiously. Whether you’re in your teen years or post the 40s, everyone should be slathering on sunscreen every single day to protect themselves from the harmful sun rays. However, the only one-time application is not enough. Did you know that one must reapply sunscreen lotions from time to time? SPF protections start to wear off after a certain time and need reapplication to keep going. Many tend to avoid this mandatory reapplication only to save their makeup from getting smudged from the sunscreen. Fear of clogging the pores is another. Here’s how you can reapply sunscreen while wearing makeup.

Start by applying sunscreen as a part of your skincare and then move on to makeup for some extra protection. Now you can use a foundation or BB cream with SPF to get the best of both worlds and mix equal parts of foundation (without SPF) with your sunscreen lotion for the face. Once you’re done with the entire makeup look, we recommend you to set it with a setting spray that offers sun protection as well.

When it comes to reapplying in the middle of the day, you can quickly freshen up your makeup as per your liking and finish off with some SPF setting spray to make your makeup last under the sun. You can try sweeping on some sunscreen powder to avoid smearing your makeup. You can also top up your makeup with an SPF containing compact powder. Re-touching your makeup with SPF makeup products is also effective.
