Bulletproof coffee is a rather high-calorie drink that is consumed to replace breakfast. This is quite a trend, especially among the paleo and people who follow low-carb diets. However, it is not advisable to drink this coffee on a daily basis. Bulletproof coffee is made with coffee, unsalted butter, MCT oil and grass-fed. All of which are mixed in a blender in order to get a frothy and smooth texture to the drink.

- This drink is quite rich in saturated fats because of which it is considered to be very harmful to us. It can increase the risk of various chronic health conditions including heart diseases.

Although, it should be consumed along with a healthy diet plan if you wish to shed some kilos. Since it lacks many nutrients and increases the risk of health diseases, it is advised to have regular check-ups after consulting your doctor. Generally, you are more likely to lose weight with black coffee other than bulletproof coffee.

Can bulletproof coffee be made healthy?

This coffee contains butter and oil which provide you with a feeling of satiety in order to reduce hunger pangs. The fats that you get with the caffeine boosts your energy which makes you ready for the entire day. Some people like to avoid caffeine for its harmful effects. Hence, they can even try this with a decaf. For the MCT oil, you can try to opt for an unflavoured version of coconut oil so as to avoid any health risks that are associated with coffee.
