The holiday season is finally upon us and it is the season to enjoy and have a good time. However, our busy lives hardly leave any space for a good time and what we end up with instead is a whole lot of stress. That is where Ayurveda steps in. Ayurvedic practices have been garnering quite the positive reactions over the years owing to their ability to help an individual deal with stress. And since the holiday season is right around the corner, here are a few practices you could try out to ensure a stress-free holiday.



- Drink warm water. The best thing to do to your body is to drink hot water. It helps your digestive and metabolic system and ensures that you don't end up with acidity even if you've overeaten or had oily food.



- Eat plenty of spices. During the winters our bodies tend to become weaker and more fragile. Which is why eating spices like cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, nutmeg, cardamom, ginger, and turmeric can help the body bring balance to its temperature. These spices can even get rid of seasonal mood disorders, joint pain, arthritis and even depression.



- Count your blessings instead of counting calories. The holiday season is for you to enjoy and relax. So, instead of worrying about how much weight you'll gain, just try to enjoy the moments you spend with your family and friends.



- Drink turmeric milk. If you have trouble going to bed, try drinking some turmeric milk and see how well you'll go to sleep then.



- Practice yoga. Practising yoga is a great way to stay fit, especially during the holiday season when you're bound to put on some extra kilos. Not only will it keep you physically fit, but it will also help your mind stay centered and focused.
