Eggs make for quite a nutritious breakfast owing to all the protein content in them. But while you may already be aware of this, did you know they could work rather well as face masks too? That's right, egg whites are known to contain properties that can help tighten your skin. And although there aren't many other benefits eggs can offer to your skin, they're still used in skincare routines for their protein and mineral content. So, if you're looking to make a skin tightening mask, here are some DIY egg masks you could try at home.

Face mask for nourishment - Take the white of one egg and toss it in a blender with about 5-6 grapes. Blend these together until they form a paste. Once done, apply the mask all over your face and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with some warm water. It'll help make your skin firm while also giving it a boost of moisturisation.

Face mask for oily skin - For this mask, you'll need one egg white and the juice of half a lemon. Mix these two together in a bowl to form a liquid paste. Use a cotton ball or brush to apply a thin layer of the mask to your face. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then rinse it off with warm water. This mask will absorb all the oil from your skin and tighten your skin too.

Face mask for combination skin - You'll need 1 egg white, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice for this. First, beat the egg white until it becomes frothy and consistent then add the remaining ingredients to it and mix them all well. Wash your face with some warm water and apply the mask to your face using a brush or cotton pad. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse your face with warm water yet again. This mask works wonders for combination skin and will leave your skin feeling firmer and cleaner.

So, now that you're aware of just how easily you can use egg whites in a face mask, we suggest you get right to it and see how well it works for you. Stay tuned for more updates.
