Life after surviving breast cancer can take a while to get back into a routine. You may need guidance or a plan to help put your life back together. Here are home care tips that can be beneficial for breast cancer survivors.

1. List all your treatments: Make a note of all the treatments like radiation, chemotherapy and surgery you have had. This information can help your main care provider ensure your health is on the right track.

2. Monitor long-term effects of your treatment: Some cancer treatment can increase the risk of other health issues like heart disease or impact bone health. The best way to understand the consequences is by talking to your doctor about the potential side effects so you can be better equipped to handle the condition.

3. Learn to manage the fear: The fear of cancer coming back for survivors is natural. Consult with your doctor to find out your risk of recurrence. You should also seek counselling to help you move forward, as well as face your fear.
