Self-quarantine is the right time to learn a few things by yourself rather than wanting the need to step out and spend some money at the salon. One of the things that women might want to get done as soon as they can step out is their hair colour touch up. But why not you do that yourself while you're spending all your time at home?

Here's how you touch up your roots at home in an easy way:

- Make sure your hair is healthy: First and foremost, your hair health is very important and you must always take care of it as your colour lasts the most on healthy hair. On damaged hair the colour tends to fade away faster. And to maintain healthy hair, you must use a shampoo that doesn't contain sulphates.

- Section your hair into partings: This one is surely time consuming but to get good results, you need to part your hair into 5-6 different sections and the slather on the dye from the roots in an upward movement on your hair. Make sure there is enough light on you so that you can see all the white strands properly and slather the colour on each one of them.

- Add gloss: One fine way to maintain hair is to add gloss to your routine. The colour is sure to fade away. But using a gloss will ensure the hair looks lustrous, vibrant and shiny at all times even when the colour is fading away.

- Make sure your scalp is healthy: Just like your hair, your scalp needs to be healthy too and to maintain that, you must wash your scalp on a regular basis and avoid the usage of dry shampoo under any circumstances in order to do away with clogged pores.
