While the beauty industry hasn’t ever stopped talking about the importance of sunscreens because the of the damage sun causes us, it rarely talks about the damage that comes from exposure to Ultra-Violet rays emitted from blue light. This refers to light emitted by your TV screens, laptops, computers, and smartphones.
This is worrisome. Because all kinds of technology, especially the ones that come with a screen and emits blue light have now become an integral part of our lives. We’re constantly exposed to harmful UV rays, either the sun or the blue light.
Thankfully, sunscreens are equipped to protect you from all kinds of harmful UV rays. But you need to use them correctly to make them work for you. How? You guessed it. Use them round the clock, even if you’re going to stay indoors. Additionally, you can also use products with aloe vera and Kaolin clay as they act as the first line of defense to protect our skin against blue light.
Applying a blue light filter to all devices also helps to reduce the effect to a large extent.
